First endless polarization and phase tracker (20 krad/s)

As a follow-up development of its EPC1000 endless polarization controller Novoptel has built world's first automatic endless polarization tracker that not only transforms variable input into fixed output polarization but also controls the phase shift between this polarization and its orthogonal. This works under polarization scrambling at up to 20 krad/s. Applications lie in quantum key distribution with the BB84 protocol or in other telecom purposes, and, if the absolute rather than the differential phase is controlled, in phased-array beamforming or similar.
